Excavation of knotweed contaminated soil and disposal off site offers a rapid permanent solution to your knotweed problem, but is generally the most expensive option.
The excavation of knotweed and its subsequent disposal all needs careful management with adequate precautions to prevent the accidental spread of the plant. BRD specialists supervise the excavations so that the full extent of the rhizome is removed.
As the extent of this root like structure, and therefore the volume of contaminated soil, can not be accurately predicted, BRD undertake disposal contracts on a transparent incentivised basis. This way the Client is assurred that the disposal costs are being minimised whilst providing the flexibility required for dealing with an unknown quantity. Using this method, BRD have successfully eradicated knotweed on dozens of sites.
